Leicester City will play Newport County in the third round of the FA Cup.

In all Welsh affair, the League Two side beat Wrexham 4-0 in their second round replay at Rodney Parade on Tuesday evening.

The original tie ended goalless at the Racecourse Ground earlier this month, which forced the replay with the winner due to play City next month.

Padraig Amond opened the scoring for Newport shortly after the half time interval, before Jamille Matt added a second 10 minutes later.

The home side were then gifted a third goal when Mark Carrington netted an own goal for Wrexham midway through the second half.

Newport scored their fourth and final goal in second half stoppage time through Dan Butler.

Leicester will travel to Rodney Parade on Sunday, January 6 with kick-off scheduled for 4.30pm.
