Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier says he is unsure as to how Ayoze Perez fits into Leicester City's team.

The £30 million summer signing from Newcastle United started his second straight match on the substitute's bench for City at Old Trafford for the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.

City's unbeaten start to the season came to an end at United, with Marcus Rashford slotting home an eighth-minute penalty to secure all three points for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side .

Perez started the first four matches of City's season following his big-money move from St James' Park, but endured a difficult night on his return to Newcastle in the second round of the Carabao Cup, a match City won on a penalty shoot-out and he has been out of the side since.

And Le Tissier remains unconvinced about Perez and how City boss Brendan Rodgers plans to use him

"It's difficult to see which position he really fits into in that team," Le Tissier, who turned out over 500 times for Southampton, said on Sky's Soccer Saturday programme.

"And that's the condundrum for Rodgers as the season goes on, how can he get him, (Jamie) Vardy and (James) Maddison in the starting lineup.

"Perez came on in the end when they were chasing the game, Harvey Barnes came on as well.

"It's a little bit difficult to see the formation that he wansts toi play that can get all those involved at the same time."
