Leicester City have been linked with a move for Cameroon striker Stephane Bahoken.

According to reports, the Foxes have been joined by Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanders in expressing an interest in the 27-year-old forward, who currently plays for Ligue 1 side Angers.

The report also claims that the French club are will to sell Bahoken, and have talks planned with Wolves.

City are looking to strengthen in forward positions but are understood to favour a wide player who can also play centrally and provide another option to Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho in attack.

So who is the latest player to be linked with a move to the King Power Stadium?

Bahoken, who was born on May 28 1992 and stands at 6ft tall, plays predominantly as a striker but can also play a role in wide positions.

He started his career at French club Nice, making his debut at 19 in a 2-1 defeat to Valenciennes in May 2011, coming off the bench in the 79th minute.

His first goal would come almost two years later when, in a 2-0 win over Montpellier in March 2013, Bahoken gave his side the lead in the 12th minute.

The 2013/14 campaign saw Bahoken loaned out to Scottish club St Mirren, but he only managed to rack up five appearances during his stint in Scotland's top flight.

He returned to Nice that summer but was soon sold to fellow French side Strasbourg. He would make his debut in a 3-1 league win over Colomiers in August 2014.

During his four-year stay at Strasbourg, Bahoken netted 23 goals and provided six assists in 103 appearances before signing for Angers in July last year.

His debut season at Stade Raymond Kopa saw him immediately established as the club’s first-choice striker, netting 11 goals 33 appearances in all competitions. That form appears to have caught the eye in England.

Bahoken also has experience in the international arena, earning five caps for the Cameroon national team and scoring one goal, which came in a 1-1 draw with Comoros in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier last year.

The forward is eligible to play for Cameroon through his father, but did feature four times for France’s under-20 side, which he qualified to represent through the county of his birth.

The 27-year-old is currently representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

He was previously linked with Derby County, Swansea City, Aston Villa and newly-promoted Sheffield United in April.
