Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney could be playing in the Premier League next season, but not with Leicester City.

The Scotland international has been a mooted City target since Brendan Rodgers took the reins at the King Power Stadium, but with Ben Chilwell set to stay amid Manchester City interest, Leicester are unlikely to make a move for a left-back this summer.

However, that does not mean Tierney will be staying put.

Arsenal have seen a £15m bid rejected by Celtic for the 22-year-old but the BBC report that the clubs remain in talks and that the Gunners are confident of sealing a deal.

Tierney is one of the most highly-rated stars north of the border and was a key player during Rodgers’ spell at Parkhead.

Last season, when Celtic clinched the treble treble, Tierney scored one goal and provided six assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.
