Leicester City have been linked with Angers striker Stephane Bahoken.

French newspaper L’Equipe has reported City have been joined by Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in expressing an interest in the 27-year-old, who is currently with the Cameroon national squad in Eqypt for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The report claims the Ligue 1 side are willing to sell Bahoken, who scored 11 goals last season, and have talks planned with Wolves.

Bahoken is under contract until 2022 and can also play in wide positions.

City are looking to strengthen in forward positions but are understood to favour a wide player who can also play centrally and also provide another option to Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho in attack.

However, at 27 Bahoken, who played for St Mirren in 2014, is at the ceiling of the age of player City would prefer as they usually look to bring in younger players who will develop and grow with the squad, and increase in market value.
