There's a huge number of brilliant places to visit in Leicestershire during the summer holidays - and now, there's another to add to your list.

Cattows Farm, in Heather near Coalville, is this week launching its first ever maize maze.

According to the owners, the eight acre maze is a natural progression which compliments the current activities on the farm.

The maze opens on Thursday, August 1, and is due to remain open through to the October pumpkin picking season.

The design is based on pumpkins and Halloween to reflect the fact that around 100,000 pumpkins, squashes and gourds have been planted ready for customers to pick later this year.

The cost to take on the maze will be £4.75 per person, with under threes are free. A family pass (2+2) will cost £18. Map and quiz sheet 50p each.

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Also at Cattows Farm, you'll find a farm shop, tea room, and inflatable play area (£3 for 10 minutes or £5 per hour).

Plus, you can head out into the fields and pick strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants and sunflowers.

Children are also sure to love the chance to see and feed the sheep, and even get a selfie with Nigel the goat - who's back in a brand new pen.

Cattows Farm is open 9am - 5pm Monday to Saturday, 9am - 4pm Sunday, and is located in Swepstone Road, Heather.
