If you've got a sweet tooth, then there's one place you'll want to visit this weekend.

The Cheesecake Shop in Wigston is giving away 400 cheesecake dessert cups this Saturday.

The shop, in Leicester Road, is celebrating its re-launch after it was taken over by Leicester businessman Dillan Shikotra earlier this year.

International brand The Cheesecake Shop originated in Australia in 1991, and has since opened stores across New Zealand, Poland and the UK.

Dillan became the brand's second franchisee when he opened a store in Leicester's Melton Road in November 2018.

He then took over the Wigston store three months ago.

The giveaway will take place on Saturday, from when the store opens at 9.30am, until the 400 cheesecake cups have gone.

As well as the giveaway on Saturday, there will be a day of free cupcake decorating for children on Sunday.

There will be three sessions - from 11am until 12pm, from 1pm until 2pm, and from 3pm until 4pm. No booking is required.

Children will be able to use fresh cream, sprinkles and fondant icing to create their own cupcakes - and then take them home to eat.

There will also be a face painter at the store on Sunday, from 12pm until 4pm.

Talking about the weekend, Dillan said: "We're keen to connect with the local community and get a bit of excitement about the desserts.

"I'm a Leicester lad and for me, it's about about being a personality rather than a soulless brand.

"We want people to come in and try some of our desserts and see how good they are.

"People often have a preconception that they don't like cheesecakes, because they've probably tried a bad one, but once they try ours, they're a believer!"

The Cheesecake Shop is at 32 Leicester Road, Wigston.
