Coffee, cake and cocktails are all on the menu at a new county coffee house and bar.

Stockwells Coffee House and Bar has just opened in Hinckley, and aims to provide customers with a welcoming and stylish environment in which they can relax with a cup of coffee during the day, or a cocktail at night.

The venue, in New Buildings, has been launched by coffee fan Stewart Downes, who previously worked in the hotel industry and was keen to open his own coffee shop.

Stockwells - named after the nearby road Stockwell Head - has opened in a large unit which had previously been derelict for around 10 years, according to Stewart.

It's now been converted into a stylish space, complete with brown leather settees, wooden flooring, ceiling pendants, and Moroccan-influenced tiling on the counter.

Stockwells Coffee House and Bar serves coffee by award-winning coffee roasters Anvil.

The food menu features breakfast items such as muffins, smoothie bowls and pastries, and for lunch, customers can enjoy the likes of sandwiches and flatbreads. A range of cakes are also available.

Gluten-free food is available, as are vegetarian and vegan options.

Stockwells opens late on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, when guests can sit back and enjoy a beer or cocktail - with those on offer including a Bellini, Pornstar Martini and Espresso Martini.

You'll find Stockwells Coffee House and Bar at 1a New Buildings, Hinckley.

Opening hours are 8.30am - 6pm Monday to Wednesday, 8.30am - 10pm Thursday and Friday, 9.30am - 10pm Saturday and 10am - 2pm Sunday.
