A new tapas restaurant has opened in Leicestershire, with a unique feature - or lack of.

There's no menu.

The Peppercorns' Tapas Restaurant is a weekly restaurant that has been launched by award-winning county caterer, Peppercorn Catering Ltd.

Described as a 'new concept in dining', the restaurant is open only on Friday and Saturday evenings, at Peppercorns of Anstey.

There's no menu - just delicious, homemade and authentic dishes brought to your table.

The food was inspired by a trip the Peppercorns' team made to Spain, and since then, they've been working hard to recreate the dishes they enjoyed there.

Everybody eats at the same time, and arrival is between 7pm and 7.30pm, with the first dish being served by 8pm.

The launch of the tapas restaurant comes after the closure of the Peppercorns cafe in Barrow upon Soar, and has enabled the staff to keep their jobs.

Peppercorn managing director Cathy Cliffe says: "We had a fantastic team of staff at Barrow and would have been gutted to have lost them owing to the forced closure by our landlords.

" All of the staff have restaurant experience so it seemed the logical thing to do!

"We all share a love of tapas and the dishes will be prepared using high quality, mainly Spanish ingredients, and a sprinkle of Peppercorns' magic!"

Tables need to be booked in advance. Special dietary options are available, but must be booked in advance.
