It's the weekend and the sun is shining - and it looks like it's here to stay for the next week at least.

So, what could be a better way to enjoy the weather than to head to a beer garden for a refreshing pint and a spot of lunch?

We're spoiled for choice with beer gardens across Leicestershire, with no shortage of places that come with stunning views, from reservoirs to rolling countryside.

Of course, if you've got children, then you'll be wanting to find somewhere that's also got a good play area, so the little ones can run around and have some fun.

Here's what we reckon are 7 of the best Leicestershire pubs with play areas:

The Bradgate, Newton Linford

Close to popular beauty spot Bradgate Park, The Bradgate boasts a huge outdoor area complete with a children's pirate ship, climbing frame and play area.
