Streetwear fashion brand Footasylum is opening its expanded store in Leicester's Highcross shopping centre today.

The huge new store, on the lower level of the shopping centre, is opening at 9am.

This is earlier than expected, as it was originally planned for next year.

Fans of the brand haven't had to miss out whilst the changes have been made, as a smaller temporary store has been open, just along from the permanent store.

A one-stop shoe shop for footwear fans, Footasylum carries a huge range of leading brands for men and women, including Nike, Adidas, G-Star and Ugg.

There's also t-shirts, polo shirts, jackets and accessories by top fashion brands.

Footasylum's expanded store is one of a number of new openings at Highcross, with recent additions including stationery and giftware store Typo, and pop-ups from The White Company and Cath Kidston.

It also follows the opening of a new Footasylum store at Fosse Shopping Park earlier this month.

To celebrate the opening, there will be a DJ playing in the Highcross store today.
