The award-winning Timber Festival is back and you could get discounted tickets if you live in part of Leicestershire.

Nature lovers, day dreamers and big thinkers are invited to Timber, a festival inspired by the natural world. It will take place July 5-7 and will be located in the heart of the National Forest in Feanedock woods.

The three-day celebration of nature is back for its second year and, if you live within the National Forest, you’re entitled to a 25 per cent discount.

This applies to Leicestershire people living in Coalville, Ashby, Measham and Moira areas and nearby villages, as well as around Swadlincote in Derbyshire and Burton-upon-Trent in Staffordshire.

The festival encourages guests to unplug, recharge, and rethink our relationship with trees, forests, and the world.

Winner of UK Festival Awards’ Best New Festival 2018, Timber inspires imaginations to run wild with a line up of thrilling and reflective performances.

There’ll be a forest spa, a circus show, and alternative performances from artists, musicians and writers brought together by BBC Radio 3 DJ Elizabeth Alker.

Comedian Phill Jupitus will also be there being interviewed by BBC Radio 4’s Geoff Bird.

The festival will have a great variety of acts and activities to suit all ages
