Hemp Harvest Festival held in Winchester on Saturday

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A festival celebrating the hemp industry was held in Winchester on Saturday.

The Hemp Harvest Festival included a street fair that opened up at 9:00pm on Main St. The day included street vendors, food, music, farm tours, demonstrations and family fun.

The event also featured several educational panels and presentations. Topics discussed included “hemp plastics”, the Bluegrass Community and Technical College “HempCurriculum”, Sustainability, the Future of Hemp in Clark County and an agricultural report.

Laura’s Homestead Alternatives, Gencanna, the Hemp Highway of Kentucky, Winchester-Clark County Tourism Commission, Main Street Winchester and Bluegrass Heritage Museum were involved in organizing the event.
