A Subway store in Lincoln has left a notice in the window stating it has closed its doors for the final time.
The notice says the outlet in Monks Road shut with immediate affect on Friday February 15 and directs would-be customers to one of it's other stores in Guildhall Street, Wragby Road and the High Street.
The news will shock sandwich fans who may have taken a trip out from their education at Lincoln College to grab a bite to eat.
The store was seemingly in a popular location, situated directly opposite the college .
The reason behind the stores closure is unknown and Subway have been contacted for a comment.
