Police are investigating an alleged assault just outside Lincoln.

Officers were called to the railway station in North Hykeham after a man was allegedly pushed onto the train tracks at 2.18pm on March 18.

Paramedics also attended the scene.

A man suffered a minor injury to his eye.

Police are investigating and officers have today, Tuesday, March 19, revealed an arrest has been made.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “A 16-year-old boy from Cambridgeshire has been arrested on suspicion of endangering the safety of rail users and GBH.

"‘He has been released on bail while officers carry out further enquires."
