A devastated couple are desperately appealing for help after believing their two dogs were stolen.

Nigel Mulhall and partner, Emma Andrews are frantic with worry after their beloved pooches, April and Stevie went missing from their Lincoln home at around 9.30pm last Sunday, March 10.

At first, Mr Mulhall, who lives in the St Giles part of the city, believed the Shih Tzu cross Cairn Terrier and cross Yorkshire Terrier had escaped from the couple’s front garden.

However, with no joy in tracking them down, the couple now believe their pets have been stolen, and desperately appealing for helping in getting them back home.

“Two dogs don’t just vanish overnight,” he said.

“They are a massive part of the family - I can’t describe how important they are to us.

“We are extremely upset. It’s not them being gone, it’s the not knowing where they are.”

Photos have been circulated on Facebook in a bid to try and see if the public has noticed them.

The appeal has so far been shared across the country and even as far as Australia.

However, a week after they disappeared, the dogs have still not been found - and Mr Mulhall admits he is fearing the worst.

“We have come to the conclusion that we might never see them again,” he said.

“We have only had them just over a year.

“We thought they would be with us forever - we got them as lifelong pets.

“Them not being here has left an empty void for me and Emma.”

The missing dogs have been made aware to Lincolnshire Police.

If you have any information about the missing dogs, please get in contact with the police via the non-emergency 101 line, of through Nigel directly via his Facebook page.
