A car has flipped onto its roof near Lincoln.

Firefighters were called after the vehicle overturned in Thorpe Lane, Eagle just after 9am this morning, January 20.

Rob Mason, who lives near to where the crash happened, says he heard the commotion from inside his home.

He said: “I heard the crash from inside my house.

“The lady was trapped inside the car until the fire crew extracted her after about half an hour later.”

He also said that the road had "sheet ice" on it.

He said: “One of the fire crew told me that it was the third incident that they had attended this morning.”

He added: “The road is open and the police have put ‘police aware’ tape on the car.

“I expect the road will be closed again while they recover it.”
