A man said that he would 'never go to the pub again' after he was taken to court for drunk and disorderly behaviour.

Trevor Pickering, 43, was arrested after he was seen shouting and swearing at members of the public while he was drunk in Guildhall Street in Lincoln.

Prosecuting Marie Stace said: "On April 27 at 8.35pm Mr Pickering was caught on CCTV shouting and swearing at members of the public.

"He was unsteady on his feet and smelt of alcohol."

Pickering, of Drake Street, Lincoln, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly when he appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Thursday, June 6.

In his own defence, Pickering said: "I'm never going to a pub again, it's too costly."

Magistrates gave him a conditional discharge for a year and also ordered him to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
