Armed police rushed to a residential street in Lincoln after an aggravated burglary in the early hours of the morning.

The offence took place in Monks Road, today, Sunday January 19.

Six police vehicles carrying armed officers were then spotted in Archers Road, Branston, at around 7.15am. Police confirmed they attended Archers Road as part an ongoing investigation into the incident in Monks Road which has left a 17-year-old man in hospital being treated for injuries.

The force say they believe three suspects were involved.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: "An investigation is underway after an aggravated burglary at a property in Monks Road, Lincoln, in the early hours of this morning.

"A 17-year-old man was injured during the incident and was taken to hospital for treatment. He is not seriously injured.

 

  

"It is believed that three suspects were involved in the offence and enquiries are ongoing to locate them.
