Investigators looking into a large fire at an oil firm near Market Rasen have revealed their findings.

Fire investigation crews were pictured at G4X Fuel in East Road, Binbrook after a blaze at 6pm on Sunday, March 24.

A total of 25 firefighters were called to tackle the flames and police also attended.

Crews from Binbrook, Caistor, Louth, Market Rasen and one from Humberside Fire and Rescue extinguished using three main jets, 450 litres of foam, three breathing apparatus, two hose reels and two thermal imaging cameras.

However, an investigation has been unable to establish a conclusive cause.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: “Fire investigations returned the cause as undetermined due to the amount of damage and accessibility issues with the building.”

It comes after the authority revealed the fire had caused significant damage.

The single storey premises sustained damage which a Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson described as ‘severe’.
