A popular Lincolnshire travel business is to close, its owner has revealed.

Tourmaster Coaches Ltd, which is run by husband and wife Dave and Terri Disney, has been providing coach travel to customers since 1998 from its base in Crowland.

The couple started with just one mini bus but have expanded to have a fleet of vehicles and become one of the leading coach hire firms in the area.

However, the business will now cease to exist after Dave was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, reports Coach and Bus Weekly.

Releasing a heartfelt message on the company’s Facebook page, Terri wrote: “It is with great sadness that because my husband is extremely ill I have no choice but to close the doors of the business from the May 1 2019.

“I need to spend more time with my husband Dave & have no choice.

“I would however like to thank all our customers for their loyalty in the time we have been trading and to say that I will miss you all & thank you for your good wishes.”

She also thanked her staff for their understanding.

“I would also like to thank every single one of my drivers past and present for all their hard work and loyalty over the years.

“I would especially like to say my current drivers have been amazing during the worst months of my life with their support kindness and going the extra mile to help me.

“I will really miss you all and wish you every success in the future and to say to your prospective employers that they will be lucky to have you.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
