Top Gear team members have been spotted in Louth as filming takes place for the BBC show at nearby Cadwell Park.

The crew were seen at a petrol station in the town by the A16 Louth Bypass at around noon yesterday, Wednesday September 11.

Laura Allen spotted the crew, along with Formula 1 legend Damon Hill and presenter Chris Harris.

It's not yet known whether the other Top Gear presenters, Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness, are also in the county filming for the show.

A Cadwell Park spokesman told Lincolnshire Live that the show is being filmed there today, Thursday, September 12.

The racetrack is closed to the public as filming takes place.

"I can confirm that the guys are there filming," the spokesperson said.

"There may be a few hints on what is happening on Instagram."

It comes after presenter Freddie Flintoff was involved in a high-speed crash.

He insisted he's "absolutely fine" after careering off the same track where Richard Hammond had a near fatal smash.

The Top Gear presenter, 41, veered off the runway as he drove a super fast trike in a stunt for the BBC motoring show.

Crew medics rushed over to the scene and an ambulance, which is always on standby during filming, was driven over.

Fortunately, the cricket legend and TV presenter escaped injury, however he has admitted he 'went too far.'

An onlooker said: “Freddie jumped up, dusted himself down and wondered what everyone was fussing about."

Fair play to him.
