Macclesfield have avoided a winding-up order at the High Court in London.

The League Two strugglers have settled some outstanding debts and agreed terms with another creditor. They have been given more time to settle their remaining bills.

The club have experienced issues regarding the late payment of wages to some players in recent months.

Macclesfield travel to Lincoln City a week on Saturday.

The Silkmen are managed by former England international Sol Campbell, who has revived their survival hopes since being appointed in November.

The Moss Rose are just three points behind third-bottom Yeovil, who have played a game more, ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Stevenage.

Macclesfield weren't the only side at High Court today. They were joined by crisis-hit Bolton, who have been given two weeks to settle their debts and avoid a winding-up order.

The Championship club has won a reprieve with the hearing adjourned until April 3.
