Detectives charge man for North Charleston murder

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Detectives have charged a man for murder that happened last month.
Officials with the North Charleston Police Department say 36-year-old Devon Pierre Mallard was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The incident happened on July 25 in the 3400 block of Navajo Street.
