Sheyi Ojo

After spending last season on loan in France at Reims, Ojo has enjoyed a promising start to life under Steven Gerrard at Rangers, scoring and assisting in a 6-1 league victory against Hibernian before adding another goal in Thursday night’s 3-1 Europa League qualifying win against FC Midtjylland. He was then rested for this weekend’s Scottish League Cup win against East Fife. It seems unlikely he'll ever make it at Liverpool, in truth, but he's doing his long-term career prospects no harm at all here.

Marko Grujic

Grujic enjoyed an eventful game against FC Bayern on Friday night, scoring in the first-half before giving away a penalty in the second-half as Hertha Berlin drew 2-2 with the German champions at the Allianz Arena. He also started and provided an assist in Hertha’s 5-1 DFB Pokal victory against VfB Eichstatt the previous weekend. He is one who can still be part of Jürgen Klopp's long-term plans, and another strong season in Germany will enhance his chances at Liverpool come next summer.

Harry Wilson

After being left as an unused substitute in AFC Bournemouth’s opening day draw against Sheffield United, Wilson bagged his first ever top flight goal as Eddie Howe’s side beat Aston Villa 1-2 away from home. The Welshman fired a trademark long range strike from 25-yards, albeit with the help of a deflection as the ball sailed past Tom Heaton, crashing in off the post. It will do his confidence the world of good to get off the mark as he looks to prove he can cut it at Premier League level.

Ovie Ejaria

The 21-year-old played an impressive 85 minutes in central midfield for Reading as they beat Cardiff 3-0 at home, while his 84 touches was the most of any player on the pitch. His loan deal is with a view to a permanent transfer at the end of the campaign, so a full season playing frequently in the Championship will be of great benefit.

Ben Woodburn

Since joining League One Oxford United, Woodburn has started all three league games and came on as a substitute in the League Cup first round win against Peterborough. He has played on the left, on the right and as a No.10, and while he is yet to register a goal or an assist, regular game time can only be a positive thing for his development. He is still only 19, young enough that he'll hope to have another chance at Liverpool next summer.

Nat Phillips

The 22-year-old centre back is yet to start for 2. Bundesliga outfit VfB Stuttgart, making two substitute appearances thus far. It would take a dramatic turn of events for him to have a long-term future at Liverpool.

Loris Karius

Despite wild rumours of a return to Liverpool, Karius is himself out of action due to injury in his second season on loan at Besiktas. He almost certainly won't ever return to Liverpool, though, which is probably in everyone's best interests.
