Liverpool 'make offer' for Pepe - report
Liverpool have reportedly made an offer for Lille star Nicolas Pepe.
French outlet Le10Sport claim that the Reds have forwarded an offer on to the Ligue 1 club for Pepe, with Jurgen Klopp “a big fan”.
The striker is valued at £60million and at that cost it is unlikely he will be arriving at Anfield - plus we understand that Liverpool have made no contact with Lille over the transfer.
However Lille boss Christopher Galtier has confirmed that Pepe will leave the club this summer and that has increased speculation.
He recently said: “Pepe will leave. Life’s like that, football’s like that today.
“He is a player of the highest level who will have a big decision to make on the choice of his next club.
“There will be a battle between the great European teams.
“I hope that he will take a good amount of time to think about it, do his research, like he did when he came here and when he decided to stay here (last summer), find the right project.”
Rhian Brewster 'most exciting' youngster at Liverpool says former striker
Former Reds striker Neil Mellor believes Rhian Brewster is the most exciting youngster at Liverpool right now.
Mellor, speaking to AmericanGambler.com, said: “Liverpool have had a few lads that have gone out on loan.
“Harry Wilson has done very well for Derby in the Championship, Ryan Kent has done very well for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership – they are two players who have done extremely well.
“Ben Woodburn is a Welsh international and still very young and there is a lot of excitement around him.
“I suppose the obvious one would be Rhian Brewster who had an untimely injury for a year but a Golden Boot winner in the Under-17 World Cup team, you see [Callum] Hudson-Odoi who burst on to the scene from that team, so did Jadon Sancho.
“Brewster has a big future if he can listen to Jurgen and the coaches at Liverpool, and the senior players there.
“The inspiration comes from the latest players coming through the academy, which is young Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is the one who has progressed through the academy and been absolutely superb and is still so young at only 20. He’s the one who has done amazingly.
“Brewster is the one who really excites me because he can score goals, has the right attitude and listens to the coaching staff and Jurgen.”
Wilson stands on the edge of Liverpool stardom
Harry Wilson is preparing himself for a huge pre-season at Anfield as he stands on precipice of finally realising a dream he has held for most of his life.
What happens now, is down to him.
And here’s Paul Gorst to fully explain:

Or so it seems.

The Ibrox fixture, scheduled for Sunday July 28, will be the Glasgow club’s final warm-up match ahead of the SPL campaign.
Lampard, however, could be installed as Chelsea manager before the fixture is played.

Bolt Message

The nine-time Olympic gold medallist is an ardent Manchester United fan and did not want to witness the Reds lifting the title.

“I’m so happy, I called Raheem and was like ‘well done bloke!’”

Ojo Update

Hazard Praise
Andy Robertson says Real Madrid new-boy Eden Hazard is the best player he’s ever squared off with.
Hazard netted three times against Liverpool last season and has since landed his dream move to the Bernabeu.
“He’s probably the best player I’ve come up against, on his day,” Robertson said earlier this week.
“He deserves his move, he deserves all the plaudits he gets.
“He’s a fantastic player, a world class player and probably one of the best in the world right now.”
Alisson Comparison
Alisson has compared the qualities of club side Liverpool with national outfit Brazil while on duty with the Selecao.
The goalkeeper enjoyed a stunning start to life at Anfield last term as he won the Premier League’s Golden Glove award as well as the Champions League in his debut campaign.
“The technical quality of the two sides [Brazil and Liverpool] is very good,” he told Yahoo.
“When we recover the ball, we always attack and seek the best option.
“And our team has evolved a lot this year by knowing how to control the game when needed. When the game is difficult, we slow it down with more passes. Last year, we played too high up and suffered many goals from counter attacks.
“This year we were more consistent defensively. That’s something we try to do with the Brazilian national team too.
“Of course the players want to attack, they are creative; but working the ball and tiring a rival is important in football and that makes a winning team.”
Super Cup Boost
Liverpool have been handed a boost by the Premier League fixture computer ahead of their UEFA Super Cup showdown in Istanbul with Chelsea.
The Reds kick-off their new campaign against Norwich on Friday August 9th while Chelsea take on Manchester United on the Sunday.
The Super Cup takes place three days after the Blues visit Old Trafford meaning Jurgen Klopp’s side will enjoy a subjectively easier fixture as well as two extra days rest.
Nice one, supercomputer!
Werner Boost
Bayern Munich have reportedly cooled their interest in Timo Werner and left the door open for Jurgen Klopp to make a move.
Werner’s RB Leipzig contract expires next year and Bild believe he could perform a u-turn and pen fresh terms with his current club.
Bayern and Liverpool have long been linked with a raid but the German giants are now said to be focusing their attentions on Manchester City star Leroy Sane.
Werner could now sign a new contract with a £45m release clause.
Insigne Latest
Paris Saint-Germain have made an enquiry for Lorenzo Insigne according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Insigne has been linked with Liverpool for every transfer window since the beginning of time recently but the Ligue 1 champions are said to have made the first move.

She went undercover on a beach somewhere or other below.
Lovren Latest
AC Milan have turned their attention to Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas.
Italian giants Milan were linked with a move for Dejan Lovren this week but Sempre Milan now claim the Rossoneri have been in contact with both Roma and Mino Raiola to initiate talks.
The Giallorossi, for their part, will only sell if Manolas’ £32m release clause is triggered.
Robbie Keane Appointed
Former Liverpool star Robbie Keane has been named as one of Jonathan Woodgate’s backroom staff members at Middlesbrough.
Woodgate is the new boss at the Riverside following the departure of Tony Pulis earlier in the summer.
Kean made 28 appearances for Liverpool in a failed spell that produced seven goals.
Rabiot Speaks
Adrien Rabiot says he is yet to decide on his next move as his PSG contract runs down.
Rabiot will be a free agent next month and has been linked with a bosman switch to Liverpool, Manchester United and Serie A giants Juventus.
The 24-year-old told: Corriere dello Sport “It’s true, Juventus have looked for me. We are talking to each other.
“I like Italy so much. Being in this place is wonderful, you rest and you will regenerate. A demanding season awaits me.
“We are evaluating, we cannot say anything. I do not know yet.
“Juventus are a great club where every good player would want to go.
“Manchester United? It is the same. I have to decide, I’m on holiday for now.”
Matthijs de Ligt Latest
Paris Saint Germain look to have won the race for Matthijs de Ligt’s signature.
De Telegraaf believe the teenager’s family spent Wednesday evening in the French capital after perusing the available properties in the area.
It is now thought the Ligue 1 champions will pip Barcelona and clinch a deal for De Ligt this summer.
Fraser Future
Ryan Fraser believes he will remain at Bournemouth this summer after a breakthrough campaign in the Premier League last season.
The 25-year-old scored seven and assisted 14 as he established himself as one of the brightest performers outside the top six.
A host of outfits have been linked to his signature but Fraser refused to alert clubs to his availability when questioned about his future this week.
“The likelihood is I will be at Bournemouth for another year,” he said.
“And what will happen, will happen. That is all I can really say about it.
“No one has really spoken to me about it.”
Dejan Lovren Decision
Almost three-quarters of Liverpool fans would sell Dejan Lovren this summer.
The Croatian centre-back has been linked with a move to AC Milan with Jurgen Klopp demanding £25m for his services.
Paul Gorst argues the Reds would be wise to retain Lovren but in a poll that attracted a massive 13,000 votes, over 9,000 said a bid striking the valuation should be enough to see him sold.
Sempre Milan believe the 29-year-old, who arrived at Liverpool in 2014, is open to a move to Italy.
Mario Gotze Future
Mario Gotze has dampened speculation surrounding his Borussia Dortmund future.
Gotze worked with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during his spell with the Black and Yellow and was linked with a move to Anfield last summer.
He has since been touted with a surprise switch to Premier League rivals Arsenal this time around.
“I always hear these rumours, they come up every year,” Gotze told DAZN.
“Everyone has their value and the club has to decide who fits where.”
“I have a year on my contract and I am comfortable in the Bundesliga.
“I am very relaxed, I wanted to play a reasonable season, contributing with my performances and focusing on myself was important for me.”
