WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. (WDVM) — One man was sent to the hospital following a tractor-trailer crash on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 just west of Clear Spring, Maryland.

Maryland State Police say the crash occurred around mile marker 15 shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday. The lanes were closed until about 5:30 p.m.

The investigation determined the tractor-trailer, which was carrying dried goods, drifted over onto the shoulder and struck a vehicle.

Traffic was being routed onto Exit 9 in Indian Springs.
