Lefthanded pitcher Brock Burke came into 2019 viewed as one of the most advanced starting pitchers in the Rangers system, someone who could be up in the middle of the year if the Rangers needed rotation help. Blisters and shoulder soreness slowed him early on, but Burke is back in Frisco and tonight had a sterling outing. Burke went 5 perfect innings, retiring 15 batters and striking out 6. Frisco took a no hitter into the ninth, before losing it on a one out single off of Emmanuel Clase, who pitched a scoreless ninth.

Ronny Henriquez started for Hickory, going 5.2 IP, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 3 Ks. Pedro Gonzalez and Miguel Aparicio each homered, and Jonathan Ornelas had two hits. Josh Jung went 0 for 5.

For Down East, Sam Huff had a homer and two walks, Sherten Apostel had two hits, J.P. Martinez had a double and an HBP, and Bubba Thompson had a single and a sac fly.

Nick Solak was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs for Nashville, and Willie Calhoun had a pair of hits.
