Montpelier Plantation & Beach, a Relais & Châteaux boutique luxury retreat, announces the return of its complimentary Pilates Week led by London instructor Vanessa Pearce to be held May 31 to June 7. Another great time to visit Montpelier is during the Nevis Mango & Food Festival to take advantage of the resort’s wonderful Mango Festival Package offered from July 4 to July 7. For the last two years, Montpelier’s Chef de Cuisine Halva Browne and his team have won the festival’s mango-cooking competition competing against three celebrity chefs and several local Nevisian chefs, so guests should come and cheer on the Montpelier team.

All season long, guests, vegetarians or not, “Live Fully” and enjoy dishes from Browne’s New Vegetarian Menu served at signature Restaurant 750. Dishes featuring ingredients from the resort’s garden are Upside Down Surprise Eggplant Tatin; Lemon Basil Risotto with chickpeas, grilled zucchini, sun dried tomatoes and Swiss Alpine cheese; or Crunchy Lemon Pappardelle with sautéed mushrooms, broccoli, spinach and cherry tomatoes.

At Montpelier’s yoga studio overlooking Nevis Peak, instructor Vanessa Pearce will lead complimentary 50-minute Pilates sessions designed for participants from beginner to expert. Pearce, the lead instructor and owner of London Pilates Studio, has worked in London for over 15 years, working with clients with high-end specific sports training and those with rehabilitation needs. First drawn to Pilates through personal experience, Pearce became a devotee of STOTT PILATES®, a modern, anatomically based interpretation of traditional Pilates and is now a certified STOTT PILATES instructor.

Mango Festival Package

Available Thursday, July 4, to Sunday, July 7

Every year, the island that grows 44 varieties of mango, holds its Nevis Mango & Food Festival that features a celebrity chef mango-centric cooking competition.
