Five men have been charged after the death of Raymond Dixon in Bury.

Mr Dixon, 50, was found dead at a property on Myrtle Street North in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A group of men have now been charged in connection with Mr Dixon's death.

Edward Fitzgerald, 50, of  Walmersley Road, Bury has been charged with murder.

Anthony Dennison, 44, and Lee Hopkinson, 30, both of no fixed address, have been charged with manslaughter and robbery. 

Dean Murray, 50, of and Wayne Englebert, 40, both of Heyside Way, Bury have been charged with perverting the course of justice.

They have been remanded to appear at Manchester & Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday (February 18).

A 39-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder was released under investigation pending further enquires, police said.
