A man has been charged after a person was stabbed.
Covi Henry, 36, of Furness Avenue, Oldham has been charged with the following offences:
*Section 18 wounding with intent
*Possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply
*Possession of a prohibited weapon
*Possession of ammunition without a certificate
*Possession of a firearm and ammunition when prohibited for life
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Manchester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday 6 June 2020).
In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 10.30pm on Friday 29 May 2020, a 36-year-old man presented himself at hospital with serious stab injuries.
"Enquiries established that an assault had occurred on Saxthorpe Walk in Manchester."
The injured man was attending a wake when attacked. The suspect was later arrested at an address in Bury.
