He may be best recognised now for billing existing songs as his own words of wisdom, his crooning prowess and inability to make a brew, but Tommy Fury's young career started in the boxing ring.

The 20-year-old came second in the 2019 series of Love Island with girlfriend Molly-May Hague but whilst he enjoy the intense popularity islanders experience when they exit the famous villa, questions point to whether he'll return to his beloved sport

Tommy, who is the brother of Tyson Fury and was trained by Manchester boxing legend Ricky Hatton, only made his debut in December last year and has had two professional fights.

But the Manchester boxer has said he will take a years break from the sports but has big plans to sell out Manchester Arena when he returns.

Tommy told the Pound for Pound podcast: "The opportunities after leaving the villa are life changing and I can't turn those opportunities down, I'd be a fool to.

"If I take 12 months out of the ring I'll be 21 so I'm still a baby in the sport, but there's no doubt some time next year I'll be back in the ring doing what I love.

"It's an amazing feeling, from a child I've always been into my boxing and my dream was to fight at the Manchester Arena and I did that in my first fight - now I'll be able to sell that out on my own.

"It's crazy, all my dreams are coming true, everything I worked hard for in my boxing. Everything happens for a reason and everything is happening around me."

Tommy and Molly-Mae say their relationship is going from strength to strength

Whilst Tommy continues to ponder his post-Love Island future, his other half Molly-Mae is living it up in Los Angles.

The social media influencer, 20, has been taking in the cities top, luxurious sites including The Beverly Hills Hotel as she reportedly shoots a fashion campaign in the States.

Molly-Mae left drizzly Manchester last week after giving fans a glimpse of her stunning city home .

Speaking about the pairs relationship on the same podcast, Tommy spoke about how it was love at first sight and that his gut told him that Molly-Mae was the girl for him.

He said: "[Our relationship] is effortless really. Since we became boyfriend and girlfriend, every hour we get stronger and stronger."

"Yeah going really well ever since I met her I had the feeling she's the girl for me. She's absolutely stunning. The more I got to know her, the more I knew she was my cup of tea."
