Voters across Cumbria have gone to the ballot box to elect their MP in the General Election 2019.

All constituencies across the region are electing a Member of Parliament including Barrow and Furness, Carlisle, Copeland, Penrith and the Border, Westmorland and Lonsdale, and Workington.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday December 12 with the count expecting to take place overnight.

Results should be announced in the early hours of Friday.
