Manchester City were handed a boost with the news that Gabriel Jesus sees both his and Sergio Aguero's future at the Etihad.

The Brazil international found starts hard to come by last season, with Aguero netting 32 goals in 46 appearances.

The Argentine's goals fired City to an unprecedented treble of domestic trophies and kept Jesus, 22, out of the side for prolonged periods.

But Jesus says he remains intent on forcing his way into Pep Guardiola's starting XI. "[Aguero] is a legend at the club - he's the top scorer [of all time]," he told the Daily Mail . "Obviously as a player I always want to play, but I'm happy to help and I respect Sergio."

Meanwhile, reports claim that the Blues would consider loaning Joao Felix back to Benfica to secure a move for the Portugal international this summer.

Pep Guardiola gives verdict on Eden Hazard Real Madrid transfer

Pep Guardiola has given his verdict on Eden Hazard after the Belgian winger secured a move from Chelsea to Real Madrid.

Madrid have made several major signings this summer, of which Hazard is the most expensive, as Zinedine Zidane gets to work on revamping Madrid’s squad after their disappointing 2018-19 campaign.

“The player they’ve signed from Chelsea is a very, very, very good player,” said Guardiola.

“It’s an amazing signing. He’s one of the best players I’ve seen. They’re going to have a lot of fun watching him.”

City fans split over priority for next season

Manchester City supporters are split on what the club’s priority for next season should be as the Blues look to build on an unprecedented treble of domestic trophies.

City pipped Liverpool to the post to retain the Premier League title for the first time in their history by accruing 98 points last season - two shy of the points record Pep Guardiola’s side set in the previous campaign.

Victories against Chelsea and Watford in the EFL Cup and FA Cup respectively handed City the clean sweep of domestic trophies but success in the Champions League eluded the Blues.

City were knocked out on away goals by eventual-finalists Tottenham at the quarter-final stage - the same point at which Guardiola’s men were dismissed in the previous season.
