Manchester Gin is preparing to launch its very first bar and restaurant, as part of a huge new distillery experience beneath Manchester Central.

Three Little Words, which will be set inside one of the Grade II-listed railway arches between St Peter's Square and Deansgate-Castlefield, will have a food menu inspired by gin.

Diners will have the opportunity to sample the food for free during a week-long soft launch period between September 6 to 14.

Three Little Words will be the sister venue to the Spirit of Manchester Distillery on the same site, which will span across six of the railway arches and include space for masterclasses and gin tastings.

The restaurant area will house 70 covers, with space for an extra 40 in a separate luxury cocktail bar.

Cocktails will (obviously) be largely gin-based, alongside a selection of classic cocktails, all paired with fresh, seasonal dishes.

Classically trained head chef Jimmy Carr, who has previously worked at Evelyn's in the Northern Quarter, will develop a menu for Three Little Words that takes inspiration from the botanicals used in Manchester Gin.

Jimmy said: "At Three Little Words, we want fresh flavours to come through in all of our dishes. As much as possible, all of our ingredients are locally sourced, and being in a city with such a rich culture and history, we’ve aimed to incorporate this into our varied menu."

Manchester Gin was first founded by couple Seb Heeley and Jennie Wiggins in 2013, when they distilled gin in their dining room.

The menus at Three Little Words will apparently also read like a love story, taking in themes of lust, rapture, devotion and eternity.

Seb said: "This is the culmination of a life ambition for Jen and I.

"From the very first day we met, we talked about our dreams to open our own bar, so this feels like a huge milestone for us!

"We couldn’t have started this venture without the support of Manchester, so to be able to create 45 jobs and give something back to this amazing city means the world to us."

Manchester Gin's brand new home on Watson Street is due to officially open to the public on Sunday September 15, and will be open seven days a week from 10am to midnight (or 1am on Fridays and Saturdays).
