A massive new steak restaurant will open at Manchester's First Street development later this spring, it has been confirmed.
The 140-cover Ribeye Steakhouse will be taking up space in a new building opposite the Indian Tiffin Room, close to arts complex HOME.
The halal restaurant promises to use the finest cuts of meat and freshest local ingredients, and will have a completely dry bar serving mocktails.
Inside, the huge restaurant will have an open kitchen and a glass-walled mezzanine level, while outside there'll be a seating area for up to 40 people.
Dishes on the grill-style menu will include wagyu and Aberdeen Angus steaks and burgers, as well as a selection of seafood, chicken and lamb dishes.
Though flame-grilled meat is at the top of the agenda, there will be offerings for vegetarians and vegans too, as well as considerations for specific dietary requirements.
There will be a dedicated patisserie chef to create the dessert menu.
The 5,500 sq ft concrete industrial space will be softened with British racing green leather furniture, a wall of flowers and accents of bronze.
A marble bar and marble tabletops will add opulence to the double-height restaurant.
Owner Sohail Kaushal said: "We were attracted to First Street as it's a very up-and-coming area of Manchester and we jumped at the chance at being able to be a part of it.
"We were born and bred in Manchester and see Manchester as one of the most diverse cities in the world.
"We want people from all backgrounds to come to the restaurant and enjoy their experience."
The build of the project is already underway with doors expected to open at the end of May.
