Morrissey has announced two UK arena shows - but there's no Manchester date as yet.

Fans have been waiting for a hometown show since his two Sounds of the City gigs at Castlefield Bowl were postponed along with the rest of his UK and European tour in 2018.

Citing 'logistical circumstances beyond our control', his management promised to reschedule the dates as soon as possible.

A new European tour has been announced today, but it will include only two UK dates so far, at Leeds First Direct Arena on March 6 and The SSE Arena, Wembley, in London, on March 14.

Morrissey will also perform at the Palladium in Cologne on March 9, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris on March 11.

The dates come in support of his forthcoming album I Am Not A Dog On A Chain, which is due out on March 20 and features the recent single Bobby Don't You Think They Know?.

Tickets to the shows go on sale on Friday January 24 at 9am from gigsandtours.com and ticketmaster.co.uk .

Fans who pre-order the new album from morrissey.lnk.to/albumstorePR will get early access to tickets in a pre-sale starting on Tuesday, January 21 at 9am.
