Nicki Minaj paid a touching tribute to the lives lost in the Manchester Arena terror attack while performing at the venue last night.

The rapper, who has collaborated with Ariana Grande in the past, took a moment to honour the 22 people killed on May 22 2017.

In footage captured by fans and posted on Twitter, she can be seen saying: "I want to take a moment to remember the victims of the Manchester terrorist attack.

"Put your light in the sky for everybody we lost."

At this point the clip shows the venue filled with phone flashes as audience members held devices aloft.

"God bless the families of everybody who survived them, and God bless Manchester for being resilient and not bowing down to fear.

"For being strong no matter what. No matter what."

One fan who shared the moving moment on Twitter posted: "nicki paid tribute to the ones we lost on may 22nd 2017, i was sobbing she’s made me feel safe inside the arena again. theres nobody i love more

"tonight made me realise how lucky i was to leave the arena on may 22nd 2017 alive, i’m never taking anything for granted again. to our angels, i hope i did you all proud"

In the aftermath of the attack, Nicki tweeted her condolences, posting: "My heart hurts for my sister, Ariana & every family affected by this tragic event in the U.K. Innocent lives lost. I'm so sorry to hear this"

She was performing a sold-out show at the Manchester Arena last night as part of her Nicki Wrld Tour.
