PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia man faces assault and other charges for what police say was an attack on a several non-uniformed Marine Corps reservists near a conservative rally earlier this month.

Philadelphia Police said Monday 33-year-old Thomas P. Keenan was charged last week with two counts each of aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy and terroristic threats, along with other charges.

He didn't have a lawyer listed in the online court docket.

Keenan is alleged to be among a group of people who confronted the reservists near the "We the People Rally" at Independence Hall on Nov. 17.

Police say the suspects called the reservists Nazis and white supremacists, used mace on them and punched and kicked them.

Court records indicate Keenan has posted bail. A hearing is scheduled for next week.
