Casting has been announced for the Opera House Theatre Players’ upcoming musical, “Marvelous Wonderettes Dream On.”

On stage with the players for the first time is Mary Spearman, Glenda Irvin, Stephanie Naquin and Mindy Thompson. All are singers who live and work in Jefferson but none have been involved with community theatre productions before.

According to the director for the show, Paul Moore, all the ladies have good singing voices and are especially excited to work with the players who have done at least one successful musical per year since their formation in 1898.

““Because of the unexpected circumstances that arose recently when theatre founder-director Marcia Thomas had an accident that has put her off her feet for a few months, I volunteered to direct the show,” Moore said.

Production dates are July 26, 27 and 28 which will be a matinee, all at the Jefferson Playhouse.

Tickets for the show will go on sale soon. More information is available on the website JeffersonOperaHouseTheatrePlayers.com.
