A Massachusetts State Police trooper has been suspended after he allegedly got into a fight in Dorchester earlier this month.
Matthew Hickey, 30, is suspended with pay pending the outcome of an assault and battery investigation by Boston police, Massachusetts State Police spokesman David Procopio said.
Hickey allegedly got into a fight outside Dorset Hall in Dorchester earlier this month.
“We have no tolerance for the type of conduct that is alleged in the complaint. We have opened an internal affairs investigation and will closely monitor the judicial proceedings,” Procopio said in a statement.
The state police will hold a hearing to address his duty status, Procopio said.
The investigation by Boston police is ongoing.
