Niko Bianco arrested in New Hampshire for killing of Ellis J. Wright, found in Lawrence parking lot, DA says

A 22-year-old Amesbury man has been arrested in New Hampshire in connection with the homicide of Ellis J. Wright in Lawrence, officials said.

Wright, 48, was found dead in a parking lot near 85 Manchester St. on Wednesday morning, the office of Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said.

Niko Bianco is accused of killing Wright in Lawrence on Tuesday, Blodgett’s office said in a statement released Friday. Officials did not release a motive or information about the circumstances of the killing.

Bianco was arrested without incident in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Thursday, the statement said.

Before returning to Lawrence to be arraigned for murder, Bianco will be arraigned in Manchester on a fugitive from justice charge, officials said.

The timing of the Lawrence arraignment will depend on whether Bianco waives rendition.

No further information was released.

Editor’s note: The district attorney’s office initially released an incorrect last name of the suspect.
