Jennifer Rosa went missing on Oct. 17, 2019 in Walpole.

UPDATE: Jennifer Rosa was found safe in Florida, according to police.

Authorities are searching for a 17-year-old girl from Walpole who may be in danger of sex trafficking, authorities said.

Jennifer Rosa left the Bi-County Collaborative School in Walpole around 1:25 p.m. Thursday with a man who goes by the name “Isaiah”, Walpole police said in a statement.

Rosa was seen getting into a white sedan, but as of Saturday, she may have been in a tow truck or tractor-trailer in the New York area heading south to Florida.

Police said based on past statements made by Rosa that she may be “at risk for sex trafficking” as a result of her relationship with the man who picked her up Thursday.

On Saturday, Rosa’s sister told investigators she was able to message Rosa on Facebook.

Rosa was somewhere in New York with one or two unknown men as of Saturday.

"Jennifer claimed to be heading to this individual’s residence in Florida, however her sister believes she may be hitchhiking,” police said.

Rosa is under the care and custody of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. She is known to run away frequently to the Providence area, according to investigators.

Rosa is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. She has brown hair with auburn highlights, but she may have dyed her hair black recently.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Walpole Police Department at 508-668-1095.
