Light snow fell across Massachusetts overnight on Thursday, coating many towns and cities with around 1-2 inches of snow. The most snow appears to have fallen in Essex County, where communities saw up to 3 inches of snow.
The wintry mix of snow and rain has left some roadways slippery Thursday morning, the National Weather Service warns. Though the agency's winter weather advisory expires at 7 a.m., drizzle may linger a little after that.
