Massachusetts State Lottery: 4 residents take home huge checks after winning $1 million prizes

Four Massachusetts residents are each taking home a significant amount of money after winning $1 million prizes in the state lottery.

On April 12, Lionel Houle of Webster won the 50th $1 million prize in the “The Fastest Road to $1 Million” instant ticket game. It’s the 10th $1 million prize won on the ticket since March 21.

Houle bought the winning ticket at the Cumberland Farms on West Main Street in Dudley. He took the cash option and will get a one-time payment of $650,000.

Also on April 12, H. Sean Skeens of Boston won the ninth $1 million prize in the “Hit $1,000” instant ticket game.

He chose a one-time payment of $650,000 and plans to purchase a new car. He purchased his ticket at Kiki’s Kwik Mart on Faneuil Street in Brighton.

On April 16, Dorchester resident Gilson Gomes Monteiro won the third $1 million prize in the “$4,000,000 Gold Rush” instant ticket game.

Monteiro purchased the ticket from Five Corners Mini Mart on Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester. He took the one-time payment of $650,000 and plans to buy a home and a car.

Also on April 16, Salah Elkendi of Malden won the ninth $1 million prize in the “$10,000,000 Gold” instant ticket game.

He purchased the ticket from L & M Convenience Store on Ferry Street in Malden.

Elkendi took the one-time payment of $650,000 and plans on using his winnings to go on vacation.
