Ready for snow? There’s a chance of mixed snow, sleet and freezing rain this weekend in Central and Western Massachusetts.
The westernmost part of the state is the most likely to see snow, with the National Weather Service estimating a slight chance of snow Saturday night, then about a 50 percent chance of snow on Sunday with the possibility of scattered snow showers into Monday.
In the Pioneer Valley, there’s a 20 percent chance of a mix of snow and sleet Saturday night - which could make for slippery road conditions - followed by a 40 percent chance of snow, sleet and freezing rain on Sunday thought the night.
In Central Massachusetts, the National Weather Service estimates a 40 percent chance of rain and sleet Sunday then a 50 percent chance of snow and freezing rain overnight into Monday.
Little to no accumulation is expected.
Rain, no snow, is possible in Eastern Massachusetts this weekend, with a 50 percent chance of showers on Sunday in Boston and a 40 percent chance on Saturday and Sunday on Cape Cod.
