The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for much of Massachusetts, cautioning of strong winds on Wednesday.
“Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected,” the advisory states.
The advisory will be in effect from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday for the following Massachusetts counties: Berkshire, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, Norfolk and Worcester.
Wind gusts will blow in the 40 mile per hour range, with pockets of communities in Western Massachusetts expected to see gusts up to 55 miles per hour.
