A wave of storms are possible across Massachusetts Monday.
The National Weather Service said a few strong thunderstorms are possible late afternoon through Monday evening.
“The main threats are strong to damaging winds and very heavy rainfall with localized street/highway flooding,” the National Weather Service said in a statement.
Storms will be intermittent Monday and expected to impact some communities more than others. “Across northern Connecticut, northwest Rhode Island and northern Massachusetts possibly eastward into the city of Boston,” the National Weather Service said, adding, “The threat for strong storms diminishes across southeast Massachusetts into most of Rhode Island.”
The storms will offer a break from high temperatures Monday when the combination of hot temperatures and high humidities will make it feel like the mid-to-high 90s.
