David Parkinson came up with a quality outing on the mound Saturday, but the offense couldn’t follow suit in a 3-0 loss to the Harrisburg Senators at FNB Field.

Parkinson, the Phillies’ No. 21 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, worked seven strong innings and allowed just three runs on seven hits. He struck out five and walked only one batter, but suffered his fourth loss of the campaign. In 12 starts this season, Parkinson is 5-4 with a 3.63 earned-run average and opponents are hitting just .231 against him.

Reading’s offense managed just four hits against Harrisburg starter Mario Sanchez, who dazzled opposing hitters for seven scoreless innings.

No. 9 prospect Mickey Moniak finished 1 for 4 to raise his average to .259 this season. No. 25 prospect Cornelius Randolph and No. 13 prospect Arquimedes Gamboa also collected hits, while Austin Listi had Reading’s other knock.

Harrisburg plated single runs in the first, second and fourth innings, and rode Sanchez arm the rest of the way to the victory.
