In line with other NHS organisations, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust say it is taking special measures to reduce the risk that COVID-19 will spread and to make the best use of staff time.

Visiting times will be temporarily restricted to between 6pm and 8pm and patients will be allowed no more than two visitors at a time.

No visitors under the age of 16 will be allowed into the ward and anyone with symptoms of the virus - namely a continuous cough and/or high temperature - will also not be allowed on the ward.

The trust, which apologised for any disruption caused by the changes, points out that if these arrangements are likely to cause excessive hardship or inconvenience to individuals they should phone the ward and ask to speak to the nurse in charge.
